High School and Middle School Bands Perform
LORANGER—With spring in full swing music is sure to follow, and the Loranger
Middle and High School bands did not disappoint as they offered their
annual spring concert Thursday night. Attendees were treated to an
array of entertaining musical performances under direction of Jeff
Cardaronella, the Loranger band director.
The Middle School band opened the evening performing five
arrangements including Conquest by Brian Balmages, Manchester March by John
Edmondson, Lyric Prelude by James Curnow, Star Wars by John Williams and
Carl Strommen, and Dragon Slayer by Rob Grice.
The High School band followed and delighted the audience with
a six arrangements including Tale of the Comet by David Shaffer, Portrait of a
Clown by Frank Ticheli, Tribute Overture by Chip De Stefano, Air for Band
by Frank Erickson, Flight of Eagles by Elliot Del Borgo, and When Summer
Takes Flight by Robert W. Smith.
Both bands were greeted with a standing ovation as
proud parents, students and guests extended their appreciation for a
job well done. Dr. Theriot and Mr. Pellerin extend congratulations to
both bands and offer a special “congrats” to all the senior band members.
