BETA CLUB INDUCTION ...
Celebrating 50 Years of Service
HAMMOND—The Loranger High School Beta Club celebrated 50 years as a
local chapter and inducted 28 new members at the annual fall ceremonies
held
25 YEARS OF SERVICE— Loranger Beta Club faculty sponsor Ms. Jane Terrase
received a 25-year pin from fellow faculty sponsor Ms. Elizabeth Christensen. Ms. Terrase
was honored in a letter from the national office for her faithful service for over
a quarter of a century. |
at Twelve Oaks Cafeteria on the campus of Southeastern Tuesday night.
Special recognition was also given to long-time faculty sponsor Ms. Jane
Terrase, who was honored in a letter from the National Beta Office for 25
years of service to the Loranger chapter.
New Beta members Christian Bauerle and Dayton Prudhome were
named this year’s Most Outstanding Pledges. Tracy Johnson earned the “Little Red Hen Award”,
and Jan McGovern and Britanie Jeaney received the Most Supportive Pledge Award.
The new inductees included Tyler Armstrong, Megan Bahm,
Emily Balfantz, Christian Bauerle, Erica Casanova, Lanna Clark, Haleigh Davis,
Casey Domiano, Shea Edwards, Alexandra Gautreaux, Ashley Giron, Renee Goudeau,
Brittany Gregoire, Brittanie Heaney, Alexi Ingraffia, Amanda Johnson, Tracy Johnson,
Brandi Leon, Adam Liuzza, Patrick Lott, Jan McGovern, Laney Morse, Lindsey Pelas,
Dayton Prudhomme, Cameron Rockett, Jessica Spedale, Haley Thomas, and Dara Williams.
William Spiess, Beta Club president, presided over the
ceremonies and was assisted by fellow officers Megan Lerch, Megan Haase, Erica Morse,
Angela Overmier, and Jeni Abrams.
The band Exit 38 entertained the Beta Club members and
their guests with a rendition of Elvis Presley’s “Let Me Be Your Teddy Bear.”
Members of the band included Kyle Domangue, Aubrey Mixon, Ryan Giacone, and Jesse
Coates. Jennie Stewart concluded the entertainment with a pair of solos—“You Raise
Me Up” by Josh Groban and “Old Time Rock and Roll” by Bob Seiger.
