word of inspiration and following the National Anthem, honor graduate and class president,
Tico Polkey offered words of welcome.
Class salutatorian, Scott Overmier, gave a salute to all the parents and this was
followed by a stirring performance of You Raise Me Up by Rolf Lovland and Brendan Graham by honor graduate,

for the future. In the final address, Ms. Morse borrowed a quote from Henry David Thoreau
and challenged her class to “go confidently in the direction of your dreams and live the life you have imagined. ”
Numerous awards and scholarships were presented that totaled over half a
million dollars. Over forty percent of the graduates achieved honor status or higher making this
group of graduates an outstanding academic class. Along with the numerous scholarship awards given,
Brittanie Alston and Terry Wall received athletic scholarships for their achievements
in basketball and football respectively.
Following the singing of the Loranger Alma Mater, Ms. Alston offered the
closing thoughts and then graduates tossed hats in the air as they made their exit to the
class song, So Far Away.
