JUNIORS steal the show at Pep Rally.
Loranger parades its “Wolf Pride”.
Loranger High School held its 2006 Annual Homecoming Pep Rally and Parade
Friday, October 19. A packed house filled the gymnasium as seniors, juniors, sophomores and
freshmen competed for the coveted “Spirit Sticks.” The junior class won the day with a
ruckus showing of wolf pride.
Following the Pep Rally, students, faculty, firemen, sheriffs deputies, and community supporters
lined up for the annual parade. An array of colorful floats, decorated cars, fire trucks,
the LHS marching band, cheerleaders and Wolfettes paraded through the streets of Loranger
sharing waves and tossing candy to onlookers.
The Pep Rally and Parade were the final warm-up to the Homecoming
football game against the Bogalusa Jacks on Friday. The Wolves broke a three-game
scoring drought in route to crushing the Jacks 45-0. The Wolves running game was on
track as the Loranger backs combined for 243 total rushing yards. The win put
the Wolves back into contention for playoff berth with two games remaining.
Senior Heather Sampey was named homecoming queen at halftime of the game. She
is the daughter of Anthony and Toni Sampey.
