students celebrate prom night.
LHS upperclassmen gather at SLU Twelve Oaks
to Celebrate Annual Junior/Senior Prom .
HAMMOND—The Loranger High juniors and seniors gathered at Twelve Oaks
on the campus of Southeastern Louisiana University for the annual Junior/Senior Prom.
The event was attended by a majority of the students from both classes along with Dr.
Theriot and the junior and senior faculty sponsors.
Students began arriving fashionably late at 8:30 p.m. and by 10:00 p.m.
the party got started. In addition to couples dancing together, groups of students
enjoyed line dancing and various special performances by multiple groups of students.
Everyone in attendance was treated to plenty of snacks and water bottles flowed freely
to keep the enthusiastic dancers hydrated. Students also had the opportunity to pose for
a custom portrait with their favorite guy or gal.
Dj Crowe and Mary Lauren Campo were chosen as Prom Night
King and Queen. After their selection, they were crowned and shared the traditional King
and Queen Dance.
All the students are to be congratulated for a successful evening
of fun and “putting on the dog.” Dr. Theriot, the faculty, and all the Loranger community
offer special “congrats” to all the seniors as they continue to progress towards graduation.
