Loranger sweep again taking down Pearl River 3-0!
LORANGER—The Loranger Lady Wolves continued their march through the Direct Tuesday with a 3-0 sweep of
visiting Pearl River running their perfect mark to 7-0. The Lady Rebels pressed Loranger in all three games,
but the Lady Wolves prevailed 25-21, 26-24, and 25-19 to complete the sweep.
Chelsea James paced the Loranger effort at the net collecting 10 kills and five
blocks, while Rachel Wyllie added seven and Maranda Dionese and Lucie Caire had five and four respectively.
Madison Villere racked up 23 assists, while Haley Hughes and James added 13 and nine digs respectively.
Drue Disher and Villere led the team in aces with Disher collecting four and Villere three.

Loranger sweeps Albany 3-0 to move to 6-0 in District!
LORANGER—The Loranger Lady Wolves continued their home stand Thursday scoring another league win as they
swept the visiting Albany Lady Hornets 3-0. The Lady Wolves ran away with the first game of the match winning
25-11, but saw Albany keep it close in the final two games as Loranger won 25-20 and 25-19 to close out the match.
Chelsea James and Rachel Wyllie dominated at the net collecting 17 and 12 kills respectively,
while Luice Caire and Maranda Dionese each had six. Madison Villere rolled up 33 assist and Caire and Andraneka Collins
had six and five digs respectively.

Loranger sweeps Lady Tigers 3-0.
LORANGER—The Loranger Lady Wolves remained unbeaten in District play Tuesday scoring a 3-0 sweep over
visiting Independence. The victory improved their league mark to 5-0 and 8-8 overall.
The Lady Tigers kept it close in the first game of the match as Loranger fought off
rally to win 25-22. The Lady Wolves kept their distance in the final two games winning by ten (25-15) in the second game and
closing out the match with a 25-6 rout.
Senior Chelsea James worked the net collecting ten kills and one block, while senior Lucie
Caire and junior Maranda Dionese added six and four kills respectively. Sophomore Madison Villere led all players with 24 assists
and added three aces, while Caire had a solid serving match notching eight aces.
The Wolves continue their home stand hosting Albany Oct. 17 and Pearl River October 22 and finish
the regular season hosting Springfield October 29.

PINE—The Loranger Lady Wolves scored a 3-0 sweep (25-5, 25-13, 25-14) over the Pine Lady Raiders Monday
as Chelsea James and Rachel Wyllie collected eight kills apiece to pace the win. Madison Villere was solid in
assists with 17 and Lucie Caire added six digs.

PEARL RIVER—The Loranger Lady Wolves ran their league mark to a perfect 3-0 this week collecting wins
over Albany and Pearl River. The Loranger Ladies defeated Albany 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-4) on Wednesday and
followed up on Thursday with a 3-1 (23-25, 25-15, 25-13, 26-24) win over Pearl River on Thursday.
Chelsea James and Rachel Wyllie worked the net for 12 and nine kills respectively as
the Lady Wolves battled Albany in a pair of close games before closing out the match with a 25-4 thrashing in the
final game. Madison Villere posted 22 saves, while Lucie Caire had six aces, Wyllie five and James four.
James was stellar at the net again for Loranger against Pearl River knocking down 20
kills and 11 blocks as the Lady Wolves rallied from a first game loss 23-25 to sweep the next three winning an
overtime game 26-24 to close out the match. Wyllie had five aces followed by Andraneka Collins with three.
Caire led in digs with 16, while James and Karleigh Griffin added 13 and 10 respectively. Villere was
tops in assists with 33.
The Lady Wolves will play a pair next week hitting the road at Pine followed by
another road contest against league foe Springfield.

PINE—The Lady Wolves took their show on the road Tuesday and chopped down Pine 3-1 as the Loranger Ladies
dominated play following a first set loss that went into overtime before the Lady Raiders took a 28-26 win.
Loranger cruised through the final three games (25-5, 25-11, 25-9) to claim the match victory.
Chelsea James and Rachel Wyllie were dominate at the net knocking down 13 and 12 kills
respectively while Maranda Dionese added nine and Luice Caire five along with notching 12 aces on her serve.
Madison Villere paced the Lady Wolves with 30 assists while Caire and James added 15 and 11 digs respectively.

Loranger battles Saint Charles in home opener losing hard fought 4-1 match.
LORANGER—The Loranger Lady Wolves fresh off a two-game winning performance in the Covington Jamboree
entertained Saint Charles Wednesday in their season opener losing a hard fought match 4-1. The Lady Wolves
took the opening set 25-14, but Saint Charles rallied to claim three close set wins in the final
three games to claim the match with scores of 25-21, 25-18, and 25-17.
Chelsea James rolled up 21 kills and seven blocks, while Lucie Caire had 26 digs and
four aces and Haley added 11 digs. Madison Villere led the team in assists with 32, Rachel Wylie had four
blocks and three kills, and Maranda Dionese added seven kills.

COVINGTON—The Loranger Lady Wolves got a final tune-up in the Covington Jamboree before the season starts for real September 4 when
the Lady Wolves host Saint Charles. The Lady Wolves won two of their three matches in the event defeating
Franklinton 25-8 and Springfield 25-14 falling only to Pine 25-19.

LORANGER—The Loranger Lady Wolves will start the season on a roll. Since the program was restored in
2004, the Lady Wolves has made eight straight playoff appearances. Seeded 24th in last season’s LHSAA State
Division III Playoffs, the Loranger Ladies lost to ninth-seeded and evetual quarterfinalist Lakeshore in the opening round.
