Lady Wolves entertain
St. Thomas Lady Falcons in
tune-up scrimmage.
LORANGER—The Loranger Lady Wolves hosted the St. Thomas Lady Falcons for a final
tune-up scrimmage Thursday. The freshmen squad split a pair of games, while the JV
team lost a pair. The varsity lost a thriller 3-1 with the final game requiring a tie-breaker.
“This was a chance to get in some real work against a solid team,” said
Loranger head coach Misty Holton. “The younger players got some valuable experience
and our varsity showed progress getting stronger late in the match.”
The Lady Wolves open the regular season September 6 at the Southeastern Invitational
Tournament with times to be announced. The Loranger Ladies will do battle with St. Thomas again on September
9 in Hammond with a freshman match starting at 4:00 p.m. followed by JV and varsity contests.
