Abrams and Giacone named captain and co-captain.
LHS Cheer Squad welcomes eight freshmen.
LORANGER—The 2007-08 Loranger Cheerleaders have completed summer camps and
pre-season preparations and are ready to cheer on the school sports teams. In
addition to some new freshmen faces in the ranks this year, Maggie Helmsetter has
assumed the duties as faculty sponsor taking over for Anna Billiot.
This year’s squad is one of the youngest with only four
seniors and twice as many freshmen. The seniors include Captain Jeni Abrams and
Co-captain Alyssa Giacone along with Rebecca Baham and Kristian Duhe.
Representing the juniors are Julia Smith, Haley Thomas, Brittany
Gregoire, and Brittany Ebersole. Sophomores include Angel Fairburn, Kodi Sanchez, Ashley
Solis, and Kaleigh Terrbonne.
Eight freshmen round out this year’s squad. The new cheerleading
class includes Hannah Anazalone, Stephanie Corkern, Danielle Davis, Courtney Easley,
Olivia Jones, Leann Leon, Erica Straughan, and Brittany Woods.
